A third repeat order of the same customer came early this week. It was a quick site management task with other small assignments.
I created a shortened and free version of the ebook that he is selling on the site, to offer it as one of the two incentives for site visitors to take the heartbeat test.
Another assignment was to fix a small technical issue on the Heartbeat Test form. The form worked fine but Mailchimp did not seem to send the the old Welcome email to new subscribers. After looking into this, I tested it by creating a new Welcome email that is triggered by new subscriptions to the list. This new email was sent immediately after I subscribed.
We decided to keep the test Welcome email as it needed to be rewritten anyway, which I did and posted into the email marketing account.
The flow of the emails was also slightly changed. As subscribers submit the Heartbeat test from the homepage, they are immediately redirected to a one time page where they can download the free e-book and claim their free trial consultation with the synchronized breathing coach.
An email to confirm their newsletter subscription is sent. Upon confirming, the link to the free PDF and the trial consultation is delivered into their inbox as well.
It was a small job and took less than 3 hours.
