The client for this project is the same as the one in my previous post of Carlo Fellini. As with the latter, I was appointed Project Coordinator to prepare the website to launch. It was already installed and functioning when I joined the team. However, it still required a lot of work before it was ready to launch.
I was the main contact between the first party (sales team, warehouse and shipping department) and the second party which is the website developer, ensuring accurate information flow between the two parties. I spend time in understanding what the first team needed to have their jobs done, and integrating their needs with everybody involved to determine what kind of features and extensions were needed.
I then recommended that an installation order be made to the website developer, and tested the features myself first. My task grew into creating a instruction manual in PDF file for the sales team, warehouse and shipping department, and train them in using the new features and extensions for their work.
Additionally, my job included redesigning the layout of the homepage and submitting it to the developer to have the homepage restructured accordingly. I also made sure that all entries are done correctly with the correct product description and rewrote meta details for SEO purposes.
This project started at the same time that Carlo Fellini did, in November 2017 and finished early next year. Today, as this article was written, they had to migrate to Magento 2.0 version and completely recreated the front-end.
